Music producer Exit 11 releases a new song ‘Night of the Jaguar’

The hugely acclaimed Glasgow Underground will release a vital new single from Exit 11 entitled ‘Night of the Jaguar’ which proves why he is one of the most exciting artists of the moment. The superb new single is a tasteful cover of DJ Rolando’s classic ‘Knights Of The Jaguar’ and comes hot on the heels of Exit 11’s ‘Stay With Me’ - a collaboration with Calvin Logue on Spinnin’ Deep - and finds him serve up a classy and emotive house masterpiece. Listen to ‘Night of the Jaguar’

Exit 11 is fast making a name for himself on the underground house scene with his fresh productions. His high-level studio skills suggest an interesting past but Exit 11 is only looking forward, with tracks on seminal labels like Subliminal Records and Spinnin’ Deep turning plenty of heads. Not only have the likes of Steve Lawler, Hot Since 82 and Nic Fanciulli been supporting his music, but BBC Radio 1 tastemaker Danny Howard has also given him due props.

Next to cooking up real heat in the studio, Exit 11 is laying down compelling, carefully selected sets at key venues like XOYO and fabric and has a wealth of new music ready to go on MK’s Area 10 and Armada. Now, building on a discography that already includes acclaimed singles ‘Masakali’ and ’Unbutu’, is this latest majestically melodic offering.

‘Night of the Jaguar’ lands on Kevin McKay’s long-running and revered Glasgow Underground, a label which has been setting the house and techno agenda for those in the know since 1997. It’s been home to legendary artists like Romanthony and Mateo & Matos as well as introducing producers like Brett Gould and Illyus & Barrientos, so Exit 11 finds himself in fine company here.

With subtle nods to a timeless Detroit classic, ‘Night of the Jaguar’ is the sort of melodic house adventure that sweeps you up and takes you along for a thrilling electronic ride: the warm, bubbly drums and crisp percussion set the groove while the loopy synth phrases lift you to the heavens. As they soar through a cosmic sky, big blasts of bass add real weight to ensure this one makes a dramatic impact in the club.

‘Night of the Jaguar’ shows another, deeper side to Exit 11 and one that will win him even more plaudits from DJs and dancers at the most cultured end of the house spectrum.

Music producer Moteka releases new EP ‘Temporal Finitism’

Moteka is french producer Pierre Delort’s latest project. With over fifteen years of experience in the electronic music scene and after touring festivals and clubs around the world with his partner Rémy Maurin under the psytrance alias Principles of Flight, Pierre teams up once again with Rémy in the late 2000s to start a new techno collaboration. They are rapidly spotted by french label Skryptöm where they sign two EPs: Skryptöm 09 & 14 under the name Pierre Delort & Rémy Maurin. During 3 years, their transition from psytrance to techno occurs with success and personality, progressively evolving to a more modern sound, both grittier and refined with hints of melancholy.

In 2013, Pierre moves to Marseille, where he starts the Moteka project. While Principles of Flight was a mixture of psytrance and goa with powerful techno rhythms and phantasmagoric cinematographic ambiances, Moteka veers towards an assumed minimalism and restraint, inspired by the classic English techno scene such as Surgeon or Planetary Assault Systems. Now a solo project and with his new sonic direction, Moteka meets once again the french label Skryptom and becomes one of its leading act, with a dark, percussive, hypnotic techno and perfectly mastered production skills.

Always open-minded, some of his tracks bear an out-of-this-world onirism, such as the EP « Xyceon » released in 2015 on Skryptöm. Moteka is also a regular artist of London-based Children of Tomorrow records, where he signs his darkest and rawest tracks, like the EP «Trimethoxysilyl » released in 2015 and still heard in many sets, or the EP « Daneel Olivaw » in 2019, were he reconnects with a faster sound, and a permanent search for sonic avant-gardism.

Moteka is one of the scene’s sought-after producer and his tracks are played by the biggest names: Paula Temple, who plays the track « Apogee » (Asgardia EP, Skryptöm 2018, co-produced with Hemka) in all her sets, Rodhad, Ben Sims or Kobosil to name a few. As a live expert, each of Moteka’s musical unique and unforgettable musical trip is always well received by the hypnotized audience. This is the main reason why in 2018, Pierre is offered to join the super band Möd3rn.

In 2019, once again in his search of avant-gardism, Moteka presents his first album on Skryptom: «As we fought Iron Giants » an imaginary soundtrack of a techno-steam- punk tale, where every track illustrates the chapter of a heroic epic.
